I'm a no B.S. kinda guy so I would appreciate a non candy coated critique. Most of my past work has been surrealistic landscapes so to photograph people is somewhat new to me.

Having said that your comments and suggestions are always welcome, helpful, and heard.

This is LaSha, she is an aspiring model in Pensacola, Fl.

Thanks, Chris

I like these. You might try adjusting your levels some so that the details pop out more whithout being too dark.

Sytlistically interesting but the low contrast presentation makes them look a bit drab. #1 has distortion due to the model being stretched out away from the camera. Shooting at 27mm will tend to give you quite a bit of distortion for shots like this. #2 has horizon line problems which runs through the head of the model.

Cheers,
rfs

They are a bit "flat" in overall tone - I'm not sure your choice of a yellow-ochre-ish sepia tone helps in that regard.

However, I rather like the unusual perspective in #1 and #2 (although Roger's quite right about the horizonal through the head in #2). These are surrealistic (although probably not surreal) glamour shots, IMO. I also like #3 for the general sense of emptiness, loss, indecision, and mystery.

Thanks for sharing.

I am just going to back up what has already been said...The poses are quite interesting and she is an attractive model. More contrast and better use of levels in post-capture or within the camera would help significantly. Great images--just need post-capture work to sum it up IMO...
