hi all,
this is my 1st time posting a photo here
this was from a shoot last night. i just got my 2nd AB800 this week, and shot this. this was also the 1st time shooting a car, with lights, girls, and at night. there is little PP performed, mainly because i'm slowly learning CS2 & Capture NX

I think you are off to a brilliant start. I think the composition/weighting is great. Just curious what ISO you shot at? I only ask because the ironwork behind the ladies around the bridge area seems a little grainy--but I know the bridge is not the primary focal point of the image....sweet ride as well!

Great shot there neighbor! Very classic look!!!
I thought that bridge looked familiar. =P
I'm not one overly qualified to critique, but I really like the image. You did a great job not getting any bad glare that could have come off that muscle machine. I'm also curious how long you had to drag the shutter after firing the ABs to let the background come through. I love how the lighting on the bridge compliments the car! And you did a good job balancing the car's presence with your models... the composition doesn't feature one more than the other, IMO. Lastly, I'm curious what kind of modifiers you used on your ABs (if any at all).

Thanks for sharing! =)

thanks guys.

i shot it at 400iso,because i didn't want to go longer than 2 seconds because i was worried about motion blur.

2 - Alien Bee B800's
Nikon SB-800 in the car
5ft octabox -camera right
60" bounce reflector. - camera left
Vagabond V150 for power.

i was shooting for the next issue for Presure Magazine's (similar to the Scene or Free Times) calander. i've always wanted to shoot on the Superior Viaduct and this was the great ombination. i was SO happy that it turned out the was i was hoping it would.

my friend/assistnat took photo's showing the whole setup, i just have to get them from him sometime.
