I think Playboy might have used three times more lights, but ended up with the same beautiful results!! Really wonderful photo, I think this lady would look right at home at Playboy, or any magazine she chose to be in!

beautiful images...I was just reading another post about white balance. What do you do to achieve the "warm' skin tones in these shots? Thanks, Dana

Marty,

Those pics brought back some fond memories of those fine 80's Playboy pics. Kathy Shower was definitely a prime example, and your photos evoke the same feeling. Congratulations on capturing the model's beauty. I think she is incredible and for one would have no problem checking out her "larger than Double D's" if she makes the mag. I would definitely submit her pics.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

HA ... wonder what I could do with three times more lights? I'd probably end up blinding the model or catching my house on fire. LOL!

The warm skin tone comes from a combination of several things. First, I shot these images at Cloudy-1. Typically I'd shoot at Cloudy-3, but to me, it was too warm and made the skin tone look too red. The other thing I did to warm the skin tone is slow my shutter speed and use a rear sync. All these images were shot at 1/50 sec at f3.5. By dragging the shutter a bit, I allow the room lights (an overhead incandescent light and a halogen torchiere light) to "bathe" the images in a soft golden light before the flash kicks in to finalize the "look."

wonderful shot, but at 32, I'm not sure how she would look topless, she seems kinda full on top and if she let them hang loose it might not be a pretty sight...

Greetings! Marty, I'd say you knocked the cover off the baseball and it's still going! Lovely woman and I doubt Playboy would turn down a beauty like her!
