What am I doing wrong? The link shows up in the thread but the pictures does not.

First go to your portfolio and open the pic you want to post, then below the pic is a copy to clipboard button, it should be the top of the two buttons and the file name should start with [img]file name[/img]. then go to the forum you want to post in, right click your mouse and paste the file where you want to post the picture. I'm assuming it's this one. At least this is my way of doing it.

You just have to wrap the URL in [img] [/img] tags.

The second image you have feels awkward to me. the way she is sitting with her foot and leg stuck out there is unnatural and kind of distracting. additionally both images have washed out colors. not enough contrast (second image has a lot more washing). Additionally the first image needs to be rotated slightly to make the banister straight. could be a result of lens distortion i suppose but its the little details that can make or break an image.
