from this afternoon

wanted to try something new. made a large reflector/screen from a piece of seemless paper and attached it to a plastic pipe frame. cost about £8 and has push together corner pieces so can be taken apart and put together in seconds.

place two strobes infront of and facing the screen, bouncing the light back at the model. then made a hole in the middle of the screen for the camera lens to fit through.

turned on a big fan and handed the model a piece of sheer fabric. Against a black fabric BG unlit.

I would have liked her top arn to be bent a little more and cropped in a bit tighter. comments and constructive critiques welcome.

I like the pic, but I would have experimented with some cropping...appears to be two much black on top around her and the bottom throws off the pic to me...just my thoughts...good work

I like the image, though I agree with you about the crop, and I think it would have been better had she been nude behind the fabric.
Interesting idea with the lighting. Seems to give a very flat frontal light. I wonder if you cut a larger hole in the centre of the sheet, whether it wouldn't look a little like a ringlight.
How big was the sheet? What type of flash units? (Strobes is such an american word!)
She is a very pretty girl by the way. I love the natural look with minimal make-up.

Nice shot. I think some really awesome PS work could be done with that to make it solid.

The screen is about 2m square and the lights are an old set of photolight 175 that I picked up cheap on ebay. I agree about being nude underneath, but unfortunately, she's not a nude model.

Joshua, what sort of PS work would you do? feel free to play with the image.

I did some croping and softening to this picture, but don't know how to post it so you could see it. I am new to this formum and still learning how everything works here. I like this picture by the way.

Maybe somebody could give me a hint of how to post pictures in reply messages...
