Sort of reminds me of my first horse I payed for when I was a bit younger. A dapple grey named Queenie. She could jump a 4ft fence and ride smooth all day.

Guess I need to get some of my horse shots up on the web soon.

Probably better with a reflector to put some light under the edge of the hat to make the eyes more visible. This is always a trick shot outdoors with a hat. The other method is to tilt the hat back more.

cheers,
rfs

Awesome you got the horse to have the hair correctly groomed, no rasberry, halter looks great and simple, matches the saddle. And you have a nice, simple background. I have seen many where there is a tractor or some distracting object. The comment about the reflector, I have had horses spook on me with these. For those who have not worked with horses, I have been thrown off of a horse due to the Arabian horse did not want to jump over a 1 inch puddle of water. The horse stopped and I didnt, who would have ever thought I would land in the mud. Velvet would go around the puddle, but not over it, stupid Arabian.

... to eliminate shadows from the helmet, is good advice in my book.

(i.e. reflector or fill)
