So i finally figured out how to do this thanks to some help by erin. So i am a beginner to this whole thing, but have been stopping by so I could learn from all the great photographers on this site, i hope one day I will be able to call myself a photographer as well. It dont come cheap but i make due with my cardboard and printer paper devices. this one was taken about a year ago, and it was for a class, and i thought i try to add a hint of glamour in it. the teacher liked it but i would like to hear what others have to say. i need to kno how bad it really is so i can improve. thanks for the help.

Nice first images. If you ever need any help, tutoring or just some advice, please contact me. And, I'm available to travel to your place on a moments notice ... just cover my expenses LOL! Good luck and welcome aboard!

Here's Sandra ... my first island girl.

Welcome to GG.

This is a friendly but unforgiving place.

When i began I found it difficult to get the dark clothing items like her skirt to have any life and avoid the black hole it creates in the in the middle of my image. I like the lighting basically but for this rather difficult dilemma. Now I just ask them put on something brighter or more suitable for the shot. If this is not possible then they hike it up with a hand in order to reduce its mass.

The arm n the hair shadows and overshadows her breasts and visually reduces her breast six as the shape of the arm is similar and in relationship to this larger shape her breast appear tiny - which in real life they are not.

Otherwise all is well.

But remember in glamour (I believe we ar trying to create a fantasy - unreal beauty) and if you ask this model if she wants you to reduce the size of her breasts and increase the apparent size of her hit with the broad unbroken expanse of black, she will probably run away LOL

These are little issues but if you do everything you can image to enhance and to beautify the subject you are shooting glamour - if you are not paying attention to these little details you are shooting some other genre.

Nice pic though.

Well, welcome aboard.

It's a little small for me and others are better qualified, but I like it.
I'm in that learning mode myself, but hey, we all have to start somewhere. It's never ending lerning process here.
Good Luck and keep posting.

Thanks for the comments, it is the critisism i have been looking and waiting for. Only way to imporve is to have an open mind, and i do see what you are talking about. the funny thing is that, if you saw what i was working with you would laugh at me, haha. it was a spur of the moment "hey i have my camera out why dont you stand in my door way and do this." I have been getting better, and with your comments about the "black hole" well i alwasy knew there was somthing abotu that skirt that botherd me, thanks for clearing it up. ill try have them lift it next time, if i need too. the arm thing i never even noticed so im glad you had brought it to my attention. i am acctully working on a cropped version of that picture, when i am done, maybe you can take a look. Again thanks for the help, i need it.
