i rarely leave my apartment and made the decision i liked trying to create the light instead of using available light. until i took krista out onto my roof for some shots and oh my!! i need to get out more, overcast days are nice. and i just grabbed a 580EX today (not used here). advanced feedback welcome, i can take it i swear!

overcast 4pm, sun right of camera. 1/125 _ f6.3 _ 28-135 at 75mm

Perfect! Beautiful muted colors. You've just convinced me to get off my lazy, mushroom-colored ass and go outside for my next shoot. Good job!

Just a bit underexposed for my personal taste but otherwise great image and nice subject.

just a touch of reflected fill light to light the eye sockets and add a bit of catch light to the eyes. Overcast skies and shaded areas seem to have a non directional quality but the truth is the sky is the main light and will create shadows in the eyes not immediatly recognized by the photographer.

WOW! imo its a great shot. the overcast day the darkhair and fair skin of the model and the gothic looking building in background give this picture a dark feel to me. like she did or has something shes hiding. I love it! keep up the great work. Outside is good! repeat after me "outside is good!"
