I've been doing some post processing studying and this image is the first I've finished with all the new things I've learned. I would love to hear what you think from a glamour perspective. Thanks!

Please post the original image, too. It's difficult to judge the post-processing without seeing the original.

Not sure what the real pros would say but I see a world of difference here.
Being new here myself I'll leave any thing else up to them. I'll just follow the work.

Happy Holidays,

The lighting was less than ideal. We were shooting outside at night and I used a single SB-800 (no light modifier) and a reflector.

Well I think your on the right track. The image looks a bit soft. One thing I've learned and it's always been repeated in these forums is always having the eyes, nose, and lips always in focus or sharp.

Ok.. hope you don't mind me taking a crack at it. Not sure if this is what you were trying to get at.

I like it! Did you just start with a bit of USM?

I really like the image of yours that you posted by the way.

Glad you liked it. I actually do the sharpening last. But I added one more step which is duplicating the last layer (sharpened w/ light diffuse glow) and applying graussian blur to my liking. Then applied a layer mask to bring back the eyes, lips, and nose.

That last image I posted of mine is Cat who helped me with a test swim shoot before my trip to Hawaii. Glad you liked it. Heres one from my trip to the islands.
