You have a nice looking model there Izzy. Myself, and I think others that have looked at it, are puzzled about your intentions. The crop of the head leaves the eyes a little high in the image, the green fights for attention away from your model and the hat does not seem to add to the image. Let us see her long hair and try an earth tone for the background and see what you think. Post another from the session with a little less crop on her features and let’s see what others think. -Jim

I would like to think that I improved the picture at little bit...
I'm devoting considerable time and energy to study this craft. I really admire all of you for your skills. I'm plannig to attend workshops, seminars, anything that will help me improve the "quality" of my images, since I have a full time job (70 hrs per week not related to photography) I cannot enroll in college.

Thank you for your help and patience in your futures comments.

I think what others were pointing out was that the crop was too low on the forehead. If you are familiar with the rule of thirds, you'd want the eyes down on a line drawn horizontally 1/3 down from the top. So if you can go back to the original, and leave a little more of the top of the hat in the frame, that will bring the eyes down to that 1/3 line.

I agree the green background is a bit much. The other two background variations are good. The crop does not bother me a bit. The first thing that came to me when I looked at it was "Man that gal has some seriously gorgeous green eyes".

Hi,

Do you have more of the hat in the uncropped? If not, I would go tighter.

I would also recommend doing your cropping in the camera as much as possible.

Good luck,

john
