I posted an image a few weeks ago and asked for constructive input and one of the main criticisms I received was that the lighting was too flat. I am attempting to add some kickers and "kick" things up a few notches.

How am I doing?

JimmyD, if you see this please chime in. I really value your opinion.

Thanks for the feedback Don. It is much appreciated.

The far background is some gold fabric from the local fabric store (21 feet) that I have draped over a background stand about seven feet high.

The gold next to the model is an emergency "space" blanket that I wrapped around a 12" diameter cardboard tube that is 8' high. The blanket has a gold side and a silver side and comes folded up hence the texture. I have been plaing around with different things to try to find a specular background I like.

Thanks again,

Daryl

Over all I like it too. Looks like you are farther along in your skill than me, but I'd have to agree the kicker lights are to hot. I'd like the chin a tad lower so as not to look up the models nose as much and also watch for wrinkles on the neck. Also I think her top is to small squishing her right side a little to much. Some might not like the wedding ring but it doesn't bother me, if she is your wife you are a lucky man, she's beautiful! Love the background causing a reflection on her hip. My opinions are just little nits over all I really like it. When I can take one that good I'll be proud.
Ken

BAM! Sorry, couldn't resist. Nice image. I agree that the kicker may be a bit hot, but I think it works well.

Thanks for the feedback Ken. I think you have some good stuff in your portfolio. Frankly I wish I had taken that image in the black. There are only one or two things I would change about it and that is with the benefit of seeing the finished product.

And no, for the record janae is not my wife, but I am still a lucky man for having the wife I DO have
