I had the opportunity to work with a great model this week. Her name is Lauren, and she was outstanding to work with. The purpose of the test was to shoot a bunch of images for use in a composite. I haven't had time to get the composite together yet, but this is one of my favorite individual images from the series. What do you think?

I keep forgetting to take a photo of my setups, but I used a black backdrop (duh), AB800 w/ 40 deg grid as key light (high-left), AB800 w/ 48" umbrella for fill (camera right), AB400 w/ 20 deg grid for hair light (high-right-back).

I think it needs a bit more background separation. Also the watch or bracelet on the front arm is distracting because its similar in color to the hair. At first I thought it was a strand of hair over the arm. I think the way the legs are posed makes then appear a bit heavier than they probably are. I would have twisted the models lower body a little more to the camera to lessen that effect.

Cheers

Hey I like this. Only thing I see that can be looked into is controling the fabric from flying away in the mid section but other then that a rim light would give it depth.
