Here are two wood faerie pictures from my work over last weekend with Kristen Caron. She designed the costume. I was trying for a coloration that made them look other-worldly.

Comments? Critiques? Spells to capture her?

Although I am not a professional Photographer by any means I feel compelled to comment on your post. While both images look fabulous to me I was actually mezmerized by the first one. I could almost suspend belief of reality for a moment and actually believe she was a real fairy.

Amazing picture. Bravo.

Wow. I love the colors. DOes she have a contact site, or possibly you could forward my interest in talking with her about her designs? Very impressive execution.

Greg
I like em both. In #1 she is in the perfect to pose to have silver glitter in her hand and blow it at the camera. I'm not sure how well that would capture but it might be worth a try.

of "wing" pictures to the point of cliche. These, at least, make sense.
There are difficulties with the composition in both but for the life of me I can't figure out how to fix 'em.

I like #1 the best. It definately has the "feel" of a woods fairey. One thing I would consider doing different if you take another stab at it is to look at her legs. I'm not a big fan of ladies squating and facing the camera. To me it's just not flattering. Maybe if the legs where more together and angled away from the camera. Just my opinion. I do like it though.

Greg,

Great idea, cool stuff but on my monitor the skin on her face is blotchy and slightly redder than the skin on her arms and legs.

Could be me, though

It was a posing & lens compression issue. She really is much smaller than she looks in that shot.
