This was my first shoot with Melodie Bentley of Dallas ... and my first use of my new sky backdrop (I airbrushed it onto my blue seamless) -- and my first attempt at wings. So ... hit me with your best shot!

Nikon D100, Nikkor 24-120 lens, Norman strobes, Alien Bee 400 for catch light ... and my favorite photography tool: Photoshop CS2.

I really enjoy watching your work. Especially with PS. I always have problems with hair. Looks like you have it down pat. Great work!

I really like the DOF on the wings. They're there, but they aren't there. Know what I mean? I think the top is a bit too blown out, but the skin tones are wonderful. What happened to her hands? Are they all there under your sig? Love the PS work too.

Thanks for all your comments and PMs. And all I have to say to Joel's PM is ... DUH! Dude, your comments were right on ... that blue bikini bottom is way outta of place. Since I didn't shoot her nude as some suggested (maybe next time) I took Joel's suggestion to change her bottoms to white is a perfect solution. Sometimes I get SO close to my work that we don't really see the obvious.

I have to admint I am not a fan of women in wings.
But if they have to be in wings then lets get real feathers and let them blow in the wind with thier hair. The result of extensive and maybe too much PS and poorly painted fake lifeless wings is a little patheticly cartoonish for me.

Great looking mode and a great pose the shot was well taken but the background WINGS must go or need improvement, clouds are super.

the white on the top seems too bright for me
need shades for it

its taking away form the girls face (model)
wings are cool (feathers) would be better
