I like the First image the best , but then I am a sucker for eyes, The rest of her is pretty fine too. The first image I identify with because her eyes are wide open and her attention is on the lens/(the viewer).
The second image has a very bright spot on the pole behind her and my eye is distracted by it (eyes seem attracted to light), she is squinting or her eyes are not fully open and her hands are in a lame or un-purposeful position. I am constantly on my models to be doing something not simply place a useless hand on the bathing suit without at least thinking that they are doing something with the hand.
The third image is good but it just does not grab me for some reason.
The fourth - The opposite impact from the first - now the model is looking away - so I want to look at what she is looking at - away from the image.
After writing all of this I went back to find something about them that was not working for me. Then i realized the makeup is my issue. Very black and dark around the eyes and maybe this is a bit inappropriate for a blonde in these surroundings during the day. The makeup may be a bit heavy for my liking in this situation. Now I know why the first grabs me – the makeup is subdued to a more palatable level in black and white image.
Hope this helps – it should not be taken as seriously negative comments about the model or the work both are mighty fine. We are all searching for the perfect model on the perfect day and each of us dong the exact right things at the right time.
These hands are doing something - not really but it looks like they are active.
