If my camera isn't juiced, I switch gears and illustrate for pleasure.

This is a Hawaiian tribal chief done originally in pen and ink, scanned, and colorized using PhotoShop. The necklace represents braided hair which was a sign of status, along with the whalebone hook ornament. The cape and hat were adorned in the colors seen with bird feathers which was the tradition.

At an early stage of my life, I wanted to be a comic book artist (until I found out they didn't get paid that much). I still retain those techniques.

I also have been known to design jewelry--rings--on paper for creation by a jeweler.

Very nice work.

Here's one I did of actor Hugh Grant. It's done on scraperboard with a scalpel.

Good stuff! You've captured his many distortions to their extreme! Let's see more genuine artwork posted on GG. Here's another done with pencils, pastels and a little watercolor.

A good old-fashioned pencil drawing.

Look up the sketch artwork of Henry Fonda, the actor and father of Jane Fonda. Your work is very reminiscent of his style -- very detailed. You'll be amazed! He was a better artist than actor, and he was a good actor!

I could only find one of his artworks which also happens to be up for auction. But you are right, his work is very detailed.

Here's one more done with felt-tipped markers.

I take it with that name, you're of Italian decent? Get a whole portfolio of your work up there, man. It looks diverse and well worth the look-see.

Thanks for the kind words. Just for the record I'm Indian and the name screen name while is Italian referes more in my case to the website addressing each country has. In my case website addresses usually end in .co.za, therefore cozanostra. I'm from South Africa.

With regards to me getting a portfolio up, I'm afraid I've lost my mojo, have not been able to pick up a paintbrush let alone a pencil in a good couple of years.
