Okay, male models are rarer than hen's teeth, so I was happy to get to shoot with Marcus:

Straight from the camera, just resized. No crop, no retouch, unsharp mask to minimize the resizing weirdness...

Hi Sam. Can you say Manny Ramirez (Boston Red Sox left fielder)?

I met a guy the other day who did makeup for the model I worked with and he also models. I think perhaps I'd like to try doing some male shots. Can't hurt to expand one's horizons.

Good day!

Mike

I reccomend the experience! It was actually a pretty relaxed shoot, compared to most. It's also a little easier to light acceptablely, since, honestly, both harsh lighting and soft lighting play fine with the heavier features of most male models. And, in my mind, it really doesn't stray all that far from the glamour I tend to shoot, at least so far as lighting, framing, and shooting...
