Bill, both images have a few areas I think improvements can be made...

#1 - The plant in the BG really adds nothing to the image, I would 86 it...Also be careful with the cropping of the limbs. This "pose" is a difficult one based on where her arms are leading and they are cropped below the joint. Most limb cropping needs to be ABOVE the joint, not below. Placement of arms and hands is an area I struggle with as well. A suggestion I would make on this pose would be to have the models right arm come up and into the image slightly...maybe crossing the left around the bicep area...so that both are not leading you off the image

#2 - I think her right hand would be better served placed on her head where we can see it. The cropping here amputates the hand. Also the right foot is half in half out...be careful in the viewfinder about that. Also it appears a gel was used on the BG but the fall off is abrubt. If this indeed is a gel and background light and not a PS effect, I would suggest a wider light or move it further from the BG for better falloff unless this is what your goal was...

Your model has beautiful hair but seems a little "strayed" in # 2

I think both have potential and a few changes would make considerable improvement...

Thanks for sharing and keep em coming...

Thanks Bobby, I do struggle with cropping. Hope I will get the hang or it with more practice. The BG was white seamless paper. Maybe its me, but I have trouble with white paper, it seems the light just bounce off it and doesn't absorb much of it. Again, I just need more practice. Thanks again.

My suggestion…the model IS the most important thing in this style of photography in the studio. White works well if you make it totally white. As you may know, that requires about 2 stops more light on it that your model. As for props…I like them to be simple like a simple chair or stool and something that the model holds like flowers or a fan. They need to make sense with what she or he wears. Keep experimenting.
