With my new Minolta Autometer VF. I have never used a meter before and that has changed for good! I had not planned on shooting last night but had to try it out. After a little pleading I got my wife to cooperate

I would also like to take this opportunity to send a BIG THANKS to JimmyD for spending a few hours with me on Saturday. Got to see the studio, shoot the breeze for a while, picked up a few tips for an upcoming shoot. Jimmy is a VERY cool dude!

These two images were shot at ISO 200, 125, and 5.4. One hair light with a snoot (couldn't get a hair light soft box yesterday) and a 24" x 24" softbox. I cut some black foam core and made a small strip light with about a 7 1/2" strip from the softbox. After juggling the lights, lenses and camera around I got everything to jive (I think). Oh ya, and I used the strobes!

Please let me know what You think. Not so much the composition as the exposure itself for this kind of shot.

Thanks
Rick

good goin' rick! a whole new (photo) world will open up to you now that you're not a slave to in-camera metering, auto exp., and the so-called "creative modes."
