Heya Don, Not that I am any kinda expert but, try this. Crop this just inside her thumbnail and right where her elbow touches the bed. Pull the top down 20 pixels or so and take a look. See if you like it then. Good job using the light. On mine...yea I know I cut her toes off hahaha. See ya.

Paul, Might be able to do that in august....but I can only imagine the heat there then.....eeeeeeeeewwwwww. and I am now going to the store to buy a bigger pillow to lay my big head on now.

You pulled off the windowlight well. I just think the background is too busy. Maybe a higher camera angle to eliminate that. I would not close the blinds as mentioned, as that would adversely efeect your nice light. One more suggestion would be to pose the hand in profile. It looks foreshortened here with the fingers coming toward the camera. My portfolio has a windowlight image as the first image, if you're interested. I broke the hand rule I just gave, but tried to make it work to my advantage. Best regards.

Love your composition here, man. The mood is excellent and I like the change you get here to a more natural background. Great expression. Oh, and I like your use of a white fuzzy thing (as opposed to my black fuzzy thing that ended up with very little detail).

I saw the hand mentioned. The skin is blown out along her chest and left arm. Technically, you have a somewhat strong horizontal object intersecting her head. It is a little distracting to me, but not too much.

1. cropped tighter (rule of thirds was invented for this sort of pic and it probly should be cropped even tighter than the crop i've done on it, but i don't have the original and the aspect ratio is getting all screwed up cuz i'm not working from the orignial)

2. drove the blacks blacker

3. saturated the color a bit

4. slightest touch of diffusion

5. just a frog's hair of unsharp

Thanks Jimmy..I like it all except for the saturation...she looks a bit ORANGE on my end....maybe its just my monitor...but I like the crop...and the rest of the adjustments you made.... I actually wasnt sure about posting this image..because it was my first with window lighting...and I honestly didnt think it was that good. but I got a second opinion before posting it......thanks JEFF!
