It's a flaw I have. I took this picture as an experiment at the IGBN workshop. I know it has two major problems:

1) I wish she wasn't cut off at the feet.

2) I should have lowered the light more.

However, I really wanted to save it, so after about an hour of fooling around with gradient layer masks and some other tricks, here's where I am:

I have not yet cropped it. Comments?

I can see why you are attached to it and I think you are on the right track, being close to an excellent image. Here's a couple of tips, the way I see it. Crop a bit from the left, so that the cut off foot isn't cut off. Maybe take a bit from the bottom so that she is abilt lower in the frame, but that's far less important than the crop on the left. As it stands now, her nose is about the brightest part of the photos, darken that glare on the nose down a bit and I think you'll be there.
