Ooooh! Nice images, Rick.
Often, the color changes you see between your monitor and what you view using a web browser are because of the color spaces you use.
If you're on a PC, your web browser is displaying images in the sRGB color space. Now, if you uploaded an image in anything else (like AdobeRGB), then you're going to lose some color fidelity.
To get around that problem, just before you resize for the web, convert the image to the sRGB color space (in Photoshop, it'd be IMAGE>MODE>CONVERT TO PROFILE.. similar commands in other graphics programs), resize it and then use the FILE>SAVE FOR WEB (again, if you're using Photoshop) option instead of FILE>SAVE AS.
Try that and see if it helps any.
