This is my first attempt at posting here. I'm a long time jeep collector, written or edited several works on the subject. Then it occurred to me that taking pictures of my jeep might be fun. One day I asked a young lady I know to model for me. The idea is to have her dress up in 40s attire and use the jeep as a very large prop. These pictures are only from the test as both of us are amateurs at this.

Here "Frankie" is posing with the jeep wearing a white top. She seems to have a great smile that never appears forced.

Frankie about to work on the jeep, using a screwdriver for who knows what.

A pucker test. Frankie asks, "So how do you want me to pose?" Smile, frown, pucker up like a kiss.

Frankie sitting on the jeep nicknamed "Frankie".

What do you think? At any rate is was a blast for this photographer. The model said she had fun too. So hopefully, one more test shoot of wardrope fittings and then the "real" thing on the 21st.

Honestly? She looks out of focus in all of these shots. did you meter these shots? or use the in camera meter?.. I think sharper would have made them images alot better. just my 02.5 cents worth.

Thanks Tom. Yes, the model "Frankie" had never posed for anyone other than family photos. I think she did a great job. Made my work easy. I've never shot a "model" before. So that makes us both amateurs. It was a blast. Looking forward to more.

What about this one? Focus or not?

The others? Hmmm. They looked in focus to me. At least at the full sizes, no telling after shrinking them down. Thanks for you comments. I'm new here but I have viewed your work and it looks good.

It's a little soft. Most digital images are. Maybe a little bit of unsharp mask would help. They are also underexposed. Meter on her face. The rest is secondary.
