Thank you Mark yes I did get a new 30x40 Softbox from AB...Wow what a difference..I also purchased a 10degree grid which I am going to be experimenting with this upcoming weekend..So may be posting some "ODD" lighting experiment shots for critique. DeAnn just bought that flapper dress and I just recieved the softbox.....so it had to be done if you know what I mean. she knows I really wasnt into the flapper dress...a bit girly for my tastes and I didnt care for all the fringe because it didnt accentuate her figure. she tried alot of the S curvy poses...which means the frills hung from under arm area and only got wider by the time they hit her knees which looked to me like a Wide Frilly Flag....so posing in that outfit was very limiting to me... she likes the final result alot..so that was a shoot for her. and for me on my lights..Cinn will tell you that the Wife is always right! I've taken so many of the way I wanted to see things I thought it was time to let my Model be a little creative and see what she can come up with...I think she did an exellent job, even though it isnt my thang..she pulled it off stunningly.
I have been told before that with my lighting Ive been playing it "Safe"
which is probably true. However I've been practicing and practicing the similar lighting effect so I wouldnt forget it! Im old you see....I have to drive this things into my ever so forgetful mind. Rick.D was very kind and came down and spent a 16hr straight Workshop with me...it was a humungous amount to absorb in one day...however the more time goes by ..things he showed me are starting to sink in...and Im dying to experiment with what he taught me.
so this weekend..... Im going to experiment with Shadow. Hopefully not failing.
But if I do fail then I've learned something...dont do that again!
P.S. Im going to let Cinn and Zairia have at that Flapper dress when we go to visit them, I think they could give it the right touch it needs.
Im going back to the Skimpy stuff shots...unless the guys really want me to stay with the flapper dressy stuff. Thanks again Mark.
