Just wondering what is considered to much post processing...

(this isn't a model but a friend at work and taken from my desk under fluorescent lighting, she only let me get in about 7 shoots)

There is definitely toomuch whitening of the teeth and the skin smoothing is a little overdone... That all I can see (other than tour removing of skin stains and nose wrinkles, both being needed). So if you've done anything else, by my standard it's well done since I don't see it

You can definately see some post production if you see the before pic, but I don't think that the after shot had too much done to it. I generally side with the theory "the less post production the better." Mind you this goes for a darkroom or photoshop. But in this case, it isn't too much.

I think its okay to remove minor skin blemishes and the too sharp appearance of skin that one often gets from DSLR. But you have probably whitened the teeth too much and in the process of overall processing you seem to have lowered the contrast of the image a bit more than needed. The eyes look better in the orginal. It is almost as if you softened the whole face on the after rather than selective. In any event, the eyes need to be sharp and it would be nice to have a catch light. Sometimes I even cheat and add one if it is not there from the lighting that was in use.

Cheers,
rfs
