Use light stands and sand bags to keep the darn things from blowing away. Good Luck! Darrell

Here is my tip on facial expressions... Quit trying to LOOK sexy or happy or whatever the expression is. You are sexy so that should come easy once you stop trying to force it. You have to BE what you are trying to convey in the expression. You just have to think of modeling as acting with out the words and the best actors actually become their character. So let the photographer set the scene for you then just BE. And, if you dont believe that you are sexy or happy or angry then neither will the person viewing the image. I cant wait to be one of those people that says Damn girl you nailed that one. I love seeing all the new work you two post and I am jealous cause my wife wont pose for me all the time. Keep on shooting you will nail it soon. Look at the progression in such a short time that the technical side has improved.

In a high wind a reflector also doubles as a really good kite. But in a moderate wind I use a Photoflex reflector holder. I bought it when I bought my reflector. It’s basically a stand with a cross arm on it that has two clamps. But even this will blow in a wind so I add a couple of weight bags I got from Photoflex also. They fill with water and have a hook that goes around the stand. Use one for light wind and 2 or 3 for heaver winds. Since the bottom of the reflector is not clamped to the stand it will still blow back and forth even with the weight bags keeping the stand in place so get another clamp from a hardware store and attach it to the bottom of the reflector and tie some string to it with the other end to a couple of tent stakes you can get at any sporting goods shop. Or you can tie it around a couple of rocks also. I find this combination works great and doesn’t cost very much to put together.

I hope this helps or at least gives you a few ideas to run with.

Thank you all so much for your Tips and advice, We really do appreciate every opinion on here ...this has to be the greatest bunch of photographers and models willing to help the inexperienced I've ever come across. and we really do appreciate your help and compliments on our improvement..there are so many of you that I aspire to be able to shoot like its sometimes overwhelming all the learning I have to do. I really do enjoy trying to capture her beauty and so far I dont think I've done her justice yet. But with everyones great advice, I just have to bear down and keep on trying and learning.
Everyone has complimented us on our improvements which is only a compliment to yourselves without this great bunch of people I wouldnt be this far..so for that I thank each and everyone of you that has taken time out to extend your knowledge, and experience to us.
Thank you so very very much.
DeAnn and Don.
