This was my favorite image from the shoot. IMHO, it has a big problem. But I'll wait to see if others notice.

Model: Heather
MUA:Lyric Daniel
Lighting: Daylight florescent light box.
Camera: Nikon D70, 70-300 Zoom

Ron:

Could it be one of these three?

1. Top of hood cut off.
2. Multiple hair strands on the right side of her face and forehead.
3. The fingers at the bottom. In or out, but not both.

i like the theme of the shot. there's something going on down on her upper chest, i'm guessing some light came through the fabric acting like a little cookie (or gobo).

but, personally, i think this shot would have had way more impact if she was in front of of a black seamless or muslin rather than grey and if the light wasn't so flat (which is hard to do when using flourescent)

There is something going on on her chin. I think she was trying not to laugh and it was just coming through her chin. I need to PS that wrinkle out.

This shot wasn't really planned. We were using the cape for a little red riding hood thing on another model. Then Heater comes in in Bat girl makeup and we decide to use it as a super hero cape. The sword was another prop being passed around. Heather flipped the hood up and started testing the blade with her thumb. That's when I got the shot.

Black would have been cooler. Of course now I can plan it on another shoot.

I can live with all of those.

I really cheated by posting a "small" version. Here's a close up that makes it obvious.

One of the big draw backs to the florescent is there isn't a lot of light, so you end up wide open, and you have to hold things real still.

So while this might work in an online portfolio, it probably won't print well. Unless someone knows how to get rid of lens shake in PS.
