Two setups with both metered the same.
The first was with Alien Bee 800 strobes with Larson 14" x 48"softboxes with the egg crates attached to each. I placed the lights behind but at a 45 degree angle approx 5'-6' from model. Metered at ASA 100, F5.6, shutter at 125 using a nikon 85mm prime on a Fuji S2 Pro.
The second setup I used dyna-lites with 7" reflectors place in same spots as the other lights. Metered the same as before.
oops I also placed two flags between camera and lights to block the lights from over spill. For this I went to the trusty old home depot and brought 4 pcs of 1" foam styroform board 2' x 8' long. Painted one side white and the other flat black. Duct tape 2 pcs together so I could stand them up hinged fashion and use them as reflectors(white side for fill if needed) or black side to block as needed. Works just fine.
I also shot this shot with just one light. All I did was shut one light down and left other at same settings. I play with various distance and angles of lights or have the model change her angle to see how it looks.
Hope this helps, as I said I experiment a lot. It helps when you have great models that will work with you.
