I think it looks better lighten up a bit:

It reminds me of a problem I still have to this day, no short light stands. I'm not sure how much of an advantage foamcore would have over the reflective flooring. You need to get at least the fill light lower so it fills in the shadows.

I'm going to hazard a guess that you're using three lights. One shooting through the background, one high from behind as a hiar light and one to your right about 6' up.

Try moving your main light down to about four feet and closer to you. It will reduce the shadows just inside her left cheek and produce more fill on the right side of her face. Or you could add a reflector to your left for added fill.

I'm glad to see you did somrething with your background. It looks a lot better.

Wow! Rick you were right on...about my set up... Im gathering that with experience I will be able to tell where people place thier lighting. Im going to try your suggestion tomorrow and post a shot using your suggestion..Im going to post two shots ..one shooting thru my main umbrella and one shooting with bouncing off the umbrella.. Jimmy also explained to me that I had my Main and hair lights set backwards as far as fstops goes....so Im going to his suggestion along with yours... and see what I come up with!!
Thanks again Rick!!
Don.
