Model is Tina and as stated earlier, she was the last of an all day shoot. She is a very pretty lady and fun to work with as well. I tried...believe me I tried...to get her to smile more, but she likes the serene (??) look. I am not a PS expert by any means, so very little has been done to either of the images.

Comments and critiques requested and appreciated...

Hi there. Very nice looking model. I like #1 the best. You're right though, she does need to smile more. Thanks for sharing. I especially liked it when on other posts you told about the lighting. This helps us newbies out alot even if I don't have lighting it helps to know where lighting is important. So thank you for the times you do mention it. Take care.

Bobby,
I agree with you about the smile, I think the pics would have worked better with one, even one that showed just at the corners of the mouth. I think if the model doesn't smile, she'll need to convey more with her eyes and I don't think this model is doing that. However, all that being said, she is an attractive woman and smile or not, they is obvious.
As far as the individual pictures are concerned, I like #1 the best, although I wish her head was turned a little more toward the camera. With #2: I like the theme of the shirt and tie, but the crop is too distracting. I also find the hand distracting. With #3: This one is also a good photograph. The only thing to keep in mind is the crease at her neck and shoulder. That should easily be fixed by moving her hair over or dropping her near shoulder.
As far as the lighting is concerned overall it seems good to me. On #3 the main light looks low causing the shadow from her nose to move into her eye.

I'm just starting out too so I hope you don't mind the observations. I don't have many examples to show myself so it's easy to critique from the benches.
Jean-Maurice

Jean, thanks for the comments, they are appreciated. Yes she is a very pretty lady. I tried to get a smile out of her, but she just wouldn't part her lips...not even the tiniest bit, lol. The good news is she has agreed to another shoot when my new studio is available on April 1st, maybe I can coax a smile or two on the next shoot. I see the crease in the neck and you are correct, an easy fix, I will pay more attention to that in the future. As for the shadow, the lighting setup never changed throught the shoot, so I am not sure where it came from, unless I inadvertantly caused it myself in taking the shot...not sure to be honest...

Thanks again
