Your critiques are welcome. Being a newbie, I'm interested in lighting suggestions.
Thanks,
Darrell

Right Leg of Vic move it away from sofa 18 to 12 inches eliminate shadow.
Light in general good would help if you tool use what was used to light!
? what is going on the lower right of photo (black zone) to Left leg?

The ceiling is it cathedral? If not what is going on with it?
Nice work!

Larry,
Thanks for the response. I used one light shot in to a silver umbrella to camera left plus a reflector to camera left to try and throw some of the natural light back on to the model. The ceilings are not cathedral, they are 9' tall. They look distorted due to the use of a wide angle len, used to emphasize her legs. Do you have any suggestions on how to tone down the the effect of the wide angle on the walls/ceiling while retaining the effect on her legs? There is a blanket on the sofa that is dark and not helping the shadow area in the lower rhs of the image,
Thanks,
Darrell

A Crop the top!
Or elevate the cameras height! Shooting down a little it’s some thing you have to work on with the ceiling. One more thing the tendon in the left leg its a dissertation from the shot. Same with the black? Or what ever in and on the sofa that runs in to Vic.
Hope that helps!

Hmmm.. I dig the shoe going into the foreground. The wide lens is giving the perspective... but I think you should have moved in tighter to loose some of the dead space above. The lighting is also a little flat for my taste. I still love the shot though.

Craig,
Thanks for your comments. I seem to lose a lot when I save for the web. I've been using the Save for Web command on PS. Is ther a better way to save an image for the web that will preserve the color I see when it's in an RGB colorspace?
Best Regards,
Darrell

I just save them as jpg at 400x600 at 90dpi or so. I'm not sure about the "save for web" command. Sorry I can't be of more assistance... I still feel "dirty" shooting digital as it is!!!

When you are going tp put something on the web, you need to convert to sRGB, after you do everything else you want to the image and just before doing the save for web. That will give you better color in a web browser.

As to the image, I fiddled with "cropping" it by holding paper over parts of it on my screen and would really like it cropped closer to her head, a little of the left and the rest, to keep the proportions, off of the right. Of course, I'm a newby at this type of photography so my opinion and a couple of bucks will get you a cup of coffee.
