I like the way you lit the background, but her lighting seems a bit flat. I think I'd like to see at least some reflective lighting from HER right. Just my 2 cents.

Thanksfor your comments. Flat lighting was definately not something I expected to hear about this series. I was going for a more dramatic lighting effect with deeper shadows.

You've got two sets of shadows going in different directions on her face.

There is a light coming from the right and creating a classic Rembrant, but then you've got another light coming from way high that is casting harsher shadows downward which seems to darken the eyes. I don't know if the light from above was suppose to hit the face or just be a hair light.

Probably either direction would have created a nice light, but together they conflict.

In that case, you may want to over shadow a bit to get that effect. I looks to me like you're kinda caught in the middle. IMHO.

Next time turn her body away from the light and bring her face back to it. And I agree about getting rid of that other light source.
