Would appreciate some feed back on a new model. It has been a while since I have been on the forum and my good friend Rick D told me I should try again so here goes.

This is Melissa, her first experience. We were trying to do high end fashion. Let me know what you think.

Hi David,

The pictures seem to lack "pop". There is no brightness to them. They need some more contrast. I'd also recommend watching the cropping.

I don't like the crop on the first one because of how her feet are cut off. There is a special spot to crop legs but this one doesn't work for me. There is a hot spot on her lip as well and perhaps you could PS that out. Her left arm seems to be non-existent as well. For some, that's bothersome.

The second one I like except for the configuration of her fingers. It looks like she's missing her middle finger. If she really is missing it then I apologize but the way she held her hand makes her look like she doesn't have a middle finger. The pose works for me. It's probably the closest to the fashion shot you're looking for, IMHO.

The third image has potential as well. I like the idea but the cropping of her left foot ruins it for me. The other thing I don't like about this particular image is her eye. It looks like a black hole. That may be solved by upping the brightness and contrast a bit on the image (play with the levels some). I like the posture of the photo though. Given the pose and the lack of eye contact with the camera, along with the cigarette, I think this shot speaks of a woman in distress or deep in thought.

Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry if I sounded harsh. Just sharing my .02 cents.

Good day!

Mike

Thank you for the feedback. I didn't even notice the middle finger. You got the third picture completely right. This is going to a modeling agent to see if he wants to represent her.

Thanks again.

A little bit of levels goes a long way.
