The following image is from the very first photo shoot this model ever did. She was a natural beauty and had some formal training but I wanted to get your thoughts not only on the model but on the production of the image as well.

Here's another first time model from another shoot.(I tend to specialize in amateur and inexperienced models getting started).

The images are still very small and hard to get a good idea but from what you've got here, she looks very fit and trim. I don't like the lighting on the first one just because of the way her left arm looks so much darker then her right arm. She obviously has a great body and it would be nice to see some larger images that would do her more justice. These look like scans or, at the very least, images with too much USM.

For some reason, in the second photo with the cropping the way it is, her left arm looks amputated. I think the cropping at the elbow is so abrupt that it makes her look like she has a stump. The other distraction in the photo is what appears to be a white reflector or something in the lower, left-hand side of the photo.

I'd love to see some more shots of this model. Do you have any larger ones?

Thanks for sharing and have a great week!

Ok.. now I am confused... well not really confused.. but if you are a PHOTOGRAPHER... Why Are you posting pictures in the GG Perpetual Model Contest?

That is for MODELS only to post their entries in.. not the photographers...

Just curious here...

Maybe I misread. If it's just for the models, I acquiesce. However I'm not only a photographer, I represent and find work for amateur models as well, so as an "model representative"... How's that sound?

That's some pretty keen observation. The first photo (LaMiracle) was all-natural lighting but it was a very cloudy day and her left arm may have been in the shadow of a cloud that was moving by. I guess a few more seconds before tripping the shutter could have improved that shot.

The second has the model with her arm up and her hand actually holding the side of her head. The "reflector or whatever" in the left of the photo is actually a part of the set. I had a black backdrop up and a white sheer over a French door and when she struck that particular pose I got what I could.

Thanks for the critique.

If you were to read the "Title" of the first post in that forum... it say MODELS... if you were to read the post and the others from the admins (Rolando), it says for the MODELS to post.

Just thought I would mention that. Just takes a minute to read the rules, in my opinion... but heck.. I am just a guy who reads rules for a hobby. I shoot pictures the rest of the time.. When I am not posting here and managing the KellyG World Wide Web Fan Club.
