Taking yall's advice...I keep on shootin'

My wife allowed me to shoot another 150 to 200 shots of her today.

As always comments are appreciated.

Bobby,

Does she look a little bit blue in your monitor?

Good enough lighting.. but if you had turned her just a bit more towards the camera and, to quote JT's favorite advice, let her drop her shoulder a bit, it'd probably look a bit more comfortable. As it is, the wrinkles in the neck distract quite a bit and add to the "I'm not really comfortable" look she has.

Pretty lady! Keep shooting!

Thanks Wayne,

I thought I felt a hint of blueness. I was experimenting with the WB settings on my Rebel. This was taken with it set on the tungsten/indoor setting. I guess with the "cool" setting and her blue shirt AND the lighting set up it threw a blue cast.

I will heed the advice on the shoulder as well. I noticed the wrinkles in the neck when I reviewed the shot...now I know how to prevent it. Here's another with the same settings...do you still sense the blue??

Comments appreciated....

A hint of blueness? How about a lot of blue. Open up your Rebel's manual and look at how to set a custom WB (hopefully that feature is available). You can get a decnt grey card for cheap. That's the nice thing about setting a custom WB for each lighting scenario, you get consistent results.

Yeah, Bobby.. it's still very blue... which begs the question as to how well you're seeing other folks' images if this one looks 'normal'. Do you have any trouble with other folks' images?

looks to me like your color temp, i.e., white balance, might have set wrong.
