First off, I spend more time in this forum, than in the main one, and it got me thinking. I almost never critique an image, basically because I feel that I am not truly qualified, other than I do have a thought or two.

With that in mind, I was thinking what a great way to learn, by posting a critique, of an image, mine or someone else's. Then having some of the truly great photog's on this forum, point out what I missed, what I should have seen, etc. etc.

This would then improve my understanding what was right and what was incorrect in an image. Thereby helping me "SEE" better.

So, if this is a good acceptable idea, how do we mark our critique as more of a "here's what I see" and get basically a critique on a critique?

Any thoughts???

Thanks

Scott A.

interactive learning. what a concept. but seriously, take the simplest route: why don't you mark your critique as "here's what I see" (oh yeah, that's what you already figured you'd do) and ask others if they think you're on the mark?

I think I've learned a lot just from reading everyone's critique on images I've commented on. Has the effect you're seeking, although perhaps not as directly effective.

You apparently don't have any issues "seeing" what to shoot!! I am hoping to reach your level one day. It is a great suggestion, though, for us newer guys to learn from.

Gosh, a great idea but if you want only pros (and you should if the comment is going to be worth anything) then you will almost have to get a pedigree in order to trust their judgement. The reason I say that is that there is a wide difference of opinion on many of the pix critiqued here. Each sees according to their experience. It's just a thought but it sounds difficult to work.
