Hi all,
The face is a little soft but there is something I like about it. It's my wife.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

Congratulations on the addition to the family! Moms-to-be are a favorite subject of mine...

You're right.. the image is a bit soft, which isn't necessarily bad if that's the effect that you were wanting.

I'm seeing no real whites in the image... and the black of her pants isn't deep dark black. What you might have done, if you have Photoshop or one of the other manipulation programs, is to play with the curves and levels to give a bit more snap to the image.

Your picture might have also benefited from a reflector behind her, throwing a bit of light and softening those shadows.

But, hey.. look at the bright side... having a willing model at home gives you a few more chances for more pix! Keep working!

Wayne

Thanks Wayne.

I have shots with different light setups and different poses. I liked this pose the best but didn't execute as well as I would have liked.

It takes some convincing to get her in front of the camera.

I do have photoshop but did edit the photo on my laptop. I'll edit it again.

Thanks again for the comments,
Jim
