I don't make it down to this room much so I thought I would drop by and post a couple of photos from my shoot with Angel. These are a couple of more from the wife beater series we did. Cut'em up boys and girls

For a moment there I thought we were in for a really bad pun...

Wife beater. What an unfortunate name for such a useful piece of apparel. Even in it's final stages it keeps the car shining.

But seriously. Nice pictures.

I prefer to cut the shirts up towards the middle of the shoot, or let the model tear them up after a few well placed snips with sissors. On one shoot, I made a small snip in the belly of a snug fitting shirt so the model could rip it. Turns out the cut formed a perfect circle that amazingly was centered on the model's naval and belly ornament. I'll have to dig those shots out and post them.

Anyway, nice job. I always enjoy your images.

Hi Al!

That's an idea. I have done some shoots with them cut up. For those particular photos, the shirt was the models and plus it was cold so maybe that's why we didn't go there. But that does give me a great idea to shoot some and then cut through the shoot...so to speak.

Thanks, if you find those photos I would like to see them.

Allan,

You asked, you got.

Jessica with the "magic cut" wifebeater.

The A-shirt fit snugly on her. I asked if she would do some shots where she tore it apart. When she said okay, I grabbed the front of the shirt on her tummy and pulled it out about two inches so I could make a vertical snip about two inches long. That was so she could get the rip started. When I released the shirt, it bounced back into place with a near perfect circle centered on her navel. The images you see were made after we had stood amazed for a moment and she had run her finger around the hole exploring it's near nearly perfect shape. That caused the slight shifting to a more oval shape.

A close up...

If the girl isn't too tall, a wife beater can be used as a micro dress. Have the girl wear a bikini bottom or snug short shorts, and pull the shirt bottom down hard. It'll stretch. It will cover to just below her bottom. Add a fancy wide belt, and high heels and it looks like a club dress. I tried that with a couple of girls who liked it so much I considered dying the shirts bright pastel colors and peddling them to botiques. With my cost at about $10 for a package of 5, I might have made a few bucks.

Here's Alana in a torn up shirt. Her boyfriend really enjoyed tearing it while she was in it.

Alana in a torn wifebeater.

With the shirts frequently on sale for $10 for a package of 5 at the discount stores, I keep a bunch handy. I get the "S/CH" size in 100% cotton.

I think it's time for a wifebeater thread! Got 'em, show 'em!

it's not truly a 'wife beater' unless there are some spaghetti sauce, barbeque sauce, or beer stains on the front of it.

The wifebeater is a remarkably versatile piece of apparel, especially when you have a beautiful model like Jessica Lynne to wear it.

Spaghetti and beer stains on the shirt? I'll have to think about that. I've seen drawings and short (often obscene) messages put on the shirts with magic markers, etc. Maybe next time I'll give it a try...

hehehehe.... the "stains" refer to how the garment got it's name: an undergarment often worn without an outergarment on the torso of some beer guzzling, "food spilled on his shirt," low IQ, redneck, wife-beating lowlife.

of course, today the beautiful people wear them cuz it'ssexy and fashionable, but the origninal name stuck.
