Good choice on lighting. Dyna-lites do a beautiful job.
Try not cutting off the arms. and watch for wrinkles on the subjects outfit.

First of all nice shot and a very pretty lady.

I am a novice and am not in a position to critique a photo so please do not take this a criticism.

If I may, I would like to use this photo as a tool to help me answer questions about photos I will be taking shortly (I purchased my SLR package this evening)

Is the shadow on the right side of her face a characteristic you were looking for? If not, can it be corrected with photoshop or is that a natural aspect of photo that is understood and accepted?

The hair is "teased" around the right shoulder. Is this also something that a photographer is ok with or something that would be reshot or cleaned up with PS??

Her left breast appears smaller to me than the right. Is this a product of the model or the pose in the photo or my "eyes"??

Understand I am not being critical, I am trying to find out what details to look for in reviewing my own photos. Are the details I mentioned worth discussing at all?? Major...minor...not worth mentioning.

If this is not the forum to ask these type of questions, please advise and I apologize if I am out of order.

Bobbie,

The shadow on her face is a result of the main light being at camera left, and the fill light being of lesser intensity. The model is moving throughout the shoot, so I wouldn't call it intensional. But, shadows keep the picture from being flat. I could lighten it in Photoshop, but chose to keep it. My opinion, other may vary.

I like the flow of hair around her shoulder.

The dress is dark and partially in shadow.

Everyone that looks at a photo sees different things. Thats why we ask for critiques.
