There are only two images in your portfolio so it is hard for any of us to say much. Jump in the water is warm (most days).

From what I see you have a pretty good grasp of lighting but how you crop the images is strange to my preferences. Your main image also has distracting object to the left. If it was a shorter depth of field it would be less of a distraction or if it was cropped more left. Take a look through the portfolios here. Composition is key in glamour and it is very much different from landscape and nature. IMHO.

I like your style; it’s raw, voyeuristic, yet is seem very personal. I like Port 2 and Stride best. Reading the posts on GG will definitely help to develop a more “glamour look to your photography, but I think you should continue in this style as well. Keep posting, I would like to see more.

I have a 'portrait' mind set the cropping you have is not regular

but the only problem i see is your lens choice I would use a longer lens
the first sho in thportfolio has the hands too large for any effect 'I'
would want but this is strictly from my personal preferences if you wanted it taht way go fo it

I suggest, BEFORE you buy the expensive equipment. Invest in some classes in creative photography. Basic photographic composition. Basic and then advanced lightning techniques. Creative use of flashes.

Then invest some time into using say a Pentax K1000 and a 50MM lens and a 135MM lens with a bounce flash. And put into practice what you learned from those classes.

Once you get the hang of things while useing a manual camera. You'll find moving into the more advanced equipment is alot easier than jumping right in with a boat load of expensive equipment and little knowledge of what to do with it.

REMEMBER it is not the equipment that makes a wonderful picture, it's the photographer that makes a wonderful picture come together by useing his/her experience and knowledge combined with his equipment, subject, lighting and accessories.
