Shot this the other night under terrible lighting and only a reflector to work with. I personally know I do much better than this, but somehow I do like this image. Wish I could have gotten more pop in her eyes and wished it was not shot at 800 iso. Way too much noise. I am hoping to find her again as I would love to shoot her under some lights.

It is a very compeling image. I like it. She has a Sharon Stone like thing going on.

the image is very cinematic. the model comes off as either a classic hollywood female antogonist or a heroine who stands her ground. she appears somewhat intimidating or maybe rebellious. either way, i like it too.

Once I got past her very bright nose I found the image quite compelling. I have to agree with Jimmy that it has a very good cinematic quality to it.

hmm a story...... Well I was at a photoshoot and it was, lets just say, erotic in nature. The lighting was crappy and I got the images I could. If I had known I would have been able to bring my lighting, I certainly would have. The only thing I had at my disposal was my 550 and a reflector. I had tossed the 550 back in the bag earlier as it was a total waste, killing any mood that was supplied by the area lighting. So I got her to pose under a plain clamp on light fixture with a 150 watt bulb. I handed my wife the reflector and got the few images here. The other photographers there saw what we had going and snalled a few quick ones too. I really do wish the 10D did better with 800 iso as it does show a good amount of noise.
In the end I had not gotten any contact info from the young lady, but I do have a point of contact once I can talk to a friend. I had verbal ok to post as it was a shoot, but I like to have written as well. Here are 2 more that were salvagable as they were shot at 1/30 at 2.8.

CJ,

It's a shame the photoshoot didn't have appropriate lighting. Sometimes you have to work with what's available. I like the photos. Classic elegance!
Thanks for sharing the story and the photos.
