Amber in Akron

I went back and looked at some of the shots I did a couple months ago in Akron. I found this shot again and really kinda like it. Curious what others think. As has been said on another post recently, Amber is awesome. MUA was Lamar

This is some fine work here... the photograph is well executed, but the capture of the subjects gaze is what really makes it stand out. You nailed this shot. Great work!

This photo is beautiful. The model is beautiful. After staring at it for awhile (she is beautiful [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]), I noticed a couple of small things...
The tip of her nose seems to blend into her cheek, her eyes seem to blend into her eyelids and there is a bit of hair sticking out on the left.

Sorry to nitpic, I'm sure most of this wouldn't be noticable in a finale print (think Ansel Adams original print vs. in a picture in a book... OR, my monitor needs to be calibrated).

Regardless, this an excellent photograph. I am nowhere near your skill level and I continue to look forward to your posts as I learn from each of them.

Thank you for the kind words and the critiques. I appreciate them all. As for my skills....such as they are. I am still very much a beginner in this area of photography. That image was made possible by alot of people. The model was incredible. All the great photographers here that have been kind enough to give advise to me along the way and most definately to JT Smith and Kelly G. for providing the opportunity to shoot her. I learn from pretty much everyone that contributes to this site and I hope in time I can achieve the level of guys like Rolondo and JT and all the others here. Keep shooting and like all of us...strive to surpass the teachers.

If you're a begginner, You've got one hell of an eye for photography. Impressive work indeed sir.

Keep experimenting. Develop your own style and go with it.

I haven't seen all your work, but I have seen some. Most of it excellent. That said, this is one photograph that can stand alone. I really enjoy it, and it not only belongs in your book, but also on a wall.
