Hello,
Here are 2 more shots from my first sesion with Jessie. Please give me some feedback, I am just starting to work with talent, and I am very interested in improving.

Thanks
Paul

The photos are a bit too sharp. When shooting a lovely subject, be sure to do a little cleanup of the skin. In photo 1 you have hot spots on the forehead and the skin on the arm is a bit to sharp. You might try the gaussian blur snapshop trick to touch up those spots.

Here is an example, but keep in mind I was going for a very soft effect, so I was heavier on the blur than you would want to be for your shots:

Cheers,
rfs

Thanks for the comments!

I did run a PS unsharp mask on my images... maybe too much. The originals do have a "soft" look, but I am so used to sharpening my product shots that I may have gone overboard. I am not terribly happy with my lighting. I have a Brown Line system that is fantastic, but I need to work on setups for models.
I used a main next to me on my left with a softbox (15' from model), a side light with an umbrella (about 8' out on my right) and a background light with a snoot. I think the lighting overpowered what I was trying to get. Everyone says you don't need a meter with digital, and I find my product photo works fine because I am connected to my mac for immediate results, but it's tough to tell if I have it right on the back of the camera for me at this stage. Any additional comments are welcome.

Thanks
Paul
