Older and shakier ...
 
I find as I get older, that I don't handhold a camera as steady as I once did. This one was shot at 85mm at 1/100th of a second. I used to do pretty well at that speed but not as well anymore. Examine this photo:

Since the eyes wern't sharp at all, I said, what can I do about it since its an otherwise interesting shot. So a little Photoshop (DreamSuite and NIK) and one gets the old classical soft focus effect. I'm tempted to get my old Spiraltone Softfocus lens out of mothballs and see how it works with digital. Shot was made, by the way with the Canon 20D.
