that is the best i've seen from you so far. really great lighting, excellent post.

only complaint is the model's pose, which is not a problem with the photography. she needs to pop out her right elbow a bit more and change her head position -- chin up i think would be better in this instance. it will elongate her neck.

excellent work, casey.

Thanks.... Your stuff rocks by the way.... Do you use the gray background paper a lot? I just got some Tan and Yellow in I was thinking about the gray... Any suggestion?

Actually, I think her face is classic just like it is, but that's what makes horse races; a difference of opinion. But I would have move her more into the picture without cutting her off at the knee.
However, the chest looks like you went a little overboard on CS.

it depends on what level of gray i'm going for -- sometimes i just use white and let it go to gray. i've found i really don't like the studio gray paper "normally", and i usually underexpose it and let it turn charcoal or a bit lighter.

this was shot using white paper:

thanks for the kind words, casey.

What a totally sultry look! It's beautiful! I love the lighting, the model and her pose, esp her facial expression, but while others will disagree, I think you went a little heavy on the P'shop. I prefer a little skin texture and more realistic looking eyes. The cross is a very good touch, but I wish it were just a little bit higher on her chest. Other than the P'shop heavy hand, it's very nicely done.

hmmm... The only thing I did to her eyes was desat the red and I did nothing to her hand... She does still have skin texture I did a VERY small amount of blur to make sure there was texture.. you just can't see it in the small ver. I took out all the blimishes ans some scars and popped the color and contrast... thats it. Maybe it doesn't come over when its small.. Thanks for the input,.

That's one of the problems with 72 dpi images. they often don't look much like the original.

How do you get the background lighting like this? Is it done with a snoot or something else? Also what is the lighting ratio between it and her main?

Joe

BTW I loved the image.
