Bob... yeah, I realized that about halfway through the session. Tunnel vision, ya know!

Casey... no hair light on the first one.. single large softbox with a silver reflector. HAir light on the second one... maybe a bit less than I might have been able to get away with. The third one is the 'poor man's kino-flo' that Mike Wallace built for the studio.

October 17 is the next organized shoot:

Fort Worth (TX) photo workshop on October 17

If ya can't make it, maybe we can set something up so you can come up and play some other day. Surely we can find some of our local gurls for you to photograph!

Nice shots. Looks like you need to clean your sensor, by the looks of the specks in the second pic.

Wow! Hadn't even noticed them before you mentioned it... don't usually shoot on a plain white background, so who knows how long they've been there.

Thanks!

Hey Wayne, 'gude' stuff! I think the first is the best.

Suggestions:
photo 2:
a) that highlight 'spot' on the tip of her nose brings my eyes right to it- perhaps using a 75% Clone Tool
b) her nose, in general, is one of most illumniated parts of her exposed skin...a 10% Burn might help

photo 3:
a) It just seems like her face needed more light on it. To me, thats one of the most damaging aspects of a photo.
b) her eyes seem just a bit soft...could be the light issue, could be the 'save to web', could just be my eyes

But, I am far, far from perfection, take it as ye may...

Adam,

Actually, I'm takin' 'em and playing with your suggestions... don't normally do a burn on my images (what I mean is that's not one of the tools I normally use), but I can see now that I've played with it, that you're right.. it does help. Learn something new every time!

I like the first photo best, very fresh and innocent, great lighting and nice composition.

I don't care for the second photo... The pose is a little akward and the lighting is a little harsh.

The third photo would be great but it seems that the focus is a little behind the model.

Aloha from Hawaii,
Michael

As far as the photography is concerned, excellent work on both the technical and art portions of all three shots. I like the first one the best. She has that sweet/innocent look to her. Nice job.
