Hi all,

This is a landmark church in the pathetic city of Lewiston, Maine. It is brightly lit like this every night and is absolutely gorgeous!! Unfortunately, my view camera is NOT feeling well and so I couldn't do any tilting and swiveling to correct for the falling away effect that I got shooting with my D70 and a wide angle lens. What thinks you?

Good day!

Mike

It looks a bit tilted, but, you could crop it and it would work. I bet you could take that photo to the church and they could sell it as a postcard or calendar image And of course pay you a fee to do it

All in all, very good photo IMHO.

Hey Mike

Get the Gimp out and use the perspective control. Not sure how it would work on this shot with that much extreme distortion.

I have used it with great results on shots that needed just a little bit of correction.

Mike, I like it as is. I have a photo of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. If you haven't seen it, it has very tall spires all around. Of course I don't nor did I at the time, have anything to correct for the distortion. Nonetheless, I still love the pic. I wish I could post it here for demonstration purposes, because you think that there is a lot of distortion here, you should see this one, I kind of went for overkill on this one.
