Good morning all. Well, I've purchased a new camera to start with, with another on the way. Here's 3 pics of a shoot from the other night. Please let me know if I've progressed at all and, of course, any way to improve. I tried to add some artistic flare to my photos, as I used to be somewhat of an artist using charcoal and soft graphite back in my younger days. My goal is (well, one of my goals, anyway) is to have a really nice portfolio to have on here like others do. The models name is Ashlyn and she's just starting out. Very patient young lady.

Ok, you obviously want feedback, so here it is. I can see how your younger days affect your current style with regards to the contast. You seem to have a good model, and definately worth some attetion. I do like the low key work, but it is a bit harsh on the skin tones. I'd like to see more of the face to bring some intamacy to the photos. On an artistic note, nicely done and can be expanded on.

I gotta say I find your work interesting. On a forum where so many of the images are heavily manipulated, your work has a, for lack of a better word, honesty.

Again, a bad analogy, in a restaurant with a lot of heavily sauced French food, you have served us French fries. Remember how good French fries taste? Oh man, it's Sunday and the deli on the corner is closed. They have great french fries (sounds of stomach grumbling).

Are these scanned prints? What did you shoot them with (camera, Lights)

Thank you very much for your kind words. They really mean a lot. In all honesty, simplicity was what I was going for. But with more of an artistic touch rather than total glam. But I must admit that a big reason for simplicity is that I do not have a really good software to use, such as photoshop. Perhaps if I did I would have done more with the model to make her more pronounced and softer. We'll see what happens next. Stay tuned. In the meantime, thanks again!
