First post here of any of my work. This was inspired by a photo by Rolando Gomez. We shot this in the local fjord yesterday evening.

Regards,
Jan

Welcome Jan to our group and I hope you gain from this experience. I like the model and location. My suggestions have to do with the focal length and exposure. I'm think you had a normal to wide lens in this shot and due to the model slanting to the camera the head seems to be too large for the rest of the body and the breasts are at an un-natural angle. I think most of the photographers reading this right now would suggest 105mm (in 35mm format) or longer. This shot would be fine for a fashion magazine but does not flatter the model.
The other minor detail would be to tone down the hot spot on her chest and a little unsharp mask.
Nice portfolio of models and I think you are a dog and horse lover.
Good luck.
Jim

Welcome Jan. I think you have a beautiful model with a location that does her justice. It appears that you used a fisheye lens. Definately a different approach to porait photography (the standard being a 105 - 135 mm lense.) Hope to see more soon.

I like the photo. I assume you picked the perspective on purpose. It reminds me of the pictures of animals on the cover of the school notebooks. My only suggestions would be to go higher and light more evenly. I think your perspective would have work better if the model had been looking up, just a little and if the lighting had been more even across the length of her body.

Thanks for all your comments. I've given a lot of thought to using the short end of the 18-55mm. It's my luck that I had the chance of working with the same model only two days after, and this time I tried to stay around 50mm (x1.6). I'll post some of the results later..

Regards,
Jan
