Simple male catalog shot. Please provide some input.

I personally think there should be more of the suit showing if that is what you are trying to promote.

Just my 2 cents.

the art director at my last shoot said that there should be more clothes than anything else in the photo... he said "I'm paying for photos of the clothes.. not landscapes... blah, blah, blah".

So maybe you would want to turn the model more toward the camera and zoom a little?

Mike

I am going to be brutal......

This is a snapshot not a catalog shot. The model looks bored and lonely or like he lost his date to prom. What makes me want to rent a tux from this company, or what makes me want to buy a tux just the same? I want to feel like a stud if I am to be in a tux like that and I feel like the bride left him hanging and the model's expression and pose makes me feel like if I am to be in this Tux.....I'm a LOSER.

Composition, lose the brick but if the company wanted it to look like a school prom and still include it, then needs more depth in angle. The model needs to be turned more so I can see the tux, tighter crop into whatever you are trying to sell and certainly the model needs more life.....

Brutal is better than starving that's for sure. Thanks JT. I appreciate it.

O.k., so maybe it's not really catalog material. I see that now and appreciate everyone's feedback. I'll apply it when I do shoot catalog work. This shot is actually from a recent wedding I photographed. The bride is my cousin and my wedding photography was my gift to her and the groom above.

I really like your stuff most of the time, but I agree with JT. Really a static pose and the white windows fight for attentionwith the model.
Take it easy.
